Haven't been on these forums fgor a while, and now i remember why. Everyone here is so exrtemely uptight! So, all of us rangers need a thread to loosen up. So, here is thread to share all of our pets, and their funny stories! Favored builds too, to make it game applicable. So, I'll go first.

My guild is a nice, small community. Mainly PvE, we all were either rangers primary, or secondary when the game first came out. However, none of us could think of amazing names for our pets. That is, until Krazaar Killblade came up with the wonderful idea to name them all after ZERG!!!!!So, since we couldn't get anything cooler than a melandru's stalker or Strider, our troupe of 4 went around with 3 stalkers, aptly named Zergling, Hydralisk, Ultralisk, and our faithful Moa, Mutalisk. Soon after our arrival into kryta though, it was Zergling who was destined for bigger and better things, as the Lynx was waaaaaaay cooler. So, we had the Lynx, Zergling (still have him) the stalkers, Hydralisk and ultralisk, and the Moa, Mutalisk! Soon though, our friend Faust Der Kolosse (Fist of the Titans Auf Deutsch) heard of the charmable black bears of the Shiverpeaks. We knew that this was the perfect animal to be named Ultralisk! So, hauling our lvl 16 butts to Beacon's Perch, we desperately faught our way to the nearest Black Bear, And so the current Ultralisk came into being. Alas, Krazaar Killblade is the last of our valiant adventurers to not have switched out his original pet. But this was soon to change. Soon into our journey for ascension, our troope came across a colony of Dune Lizard (seriously, there were like 6 of em in the same spot). Krazaar simply had to have one! So, after journeying to ascalon and back to give up his stalker, Krazaar once again trekked into the desert, searching for that colony of lizards once more. Eventualy, after countless.....minutes, He found it! And thus, our zoo of deadly creatures was complete. Having Zergling, the Lynx, Hydralisk, the Dune Lizard, Mutalisk, the Moa Bird, and Ultralisk, the Black Bear. But not yet have we found a creature so awesome, to become the Lurker!

Haven't played this build in a while, but it's my favorite Beast Master build.

Ahhh...I used to love Starcraft.

I'd love to hear what other people's favorite pets are....I've done a search and can't find a thread that's on point.

Umm. not to burst anyones bubble.... but the OP forgot to include Charm Animal and Comfort Animal (if you ever want to rez him ^_^)...

Oh wait!! I swear i'm not uptight! hehe. im just a fickler for details... OCD and all. haha. Likewise i like me pets too!

My ranger has a white tiger to match her white armor. They are quite the pair!! My warrior has a Dune Lizard named Gwen. And my Elementalist has a Moa Bird the size of a house (Hearty)!! I am hoping to get the rest of my chars heros. But i tend to forget after all the other things i wanna do for my 9 characters =P.

Hi BaconSoda.

I have a suggestion for your build, consider using Crossfire instead of Hunter's Shot. You'll always get the bonus from it, thanks to your pet.

I have a dire tiger of doom named Hobbes.

Usually always running a RaO build of some sort. Nice suggestion jesh I never thought about using crossfire on a bm build

my fav is my dire White tiger, currently names White Rug. how did he get this name?

i was playing SF with a guidl party and we started joking around. so i start "yelling" at the monk for not healing my pet, to which she replyed "pfft! im not healing this rug!"

then we had an argument about whats better to make out of him, a rug or a fur coat. then my guildie won by blackmailing me that she wont heal me anymore

elder warthog on my ranger. looks great and makes great noises. partial to fresh hydra.

i capped lions with my paragon and his margrid/jin/morgahn, so they're quite the team. 2 males and 2 females. shame the lioness sounds like a lynx/stalker, though. really should sound just like the male.

also run an axe warrior with a dire snow wolf. i think i capped a black moa with my canthan MM, but i haven't used it.

Erm actually I think you haven't played this build at all, since as Batou noticed, it's a BM build, with pet attacks, but... no pet

Erm if this thread is about your favourite pet: probably the Jahai Rat my new ranger tamed - I'm just disappointed they become bigger when they level up

I have a black moa named Zak. I could never quite find the right name, so I ended up with "Zak," even though I wasn't happy about it. I changed his name the other day, but had to change it back because I can't see him by any other name now.

I went through a lot of trouble to get him...but am thinking about getting a Phoenix at some point.

Hubby has a crab named Krusty XD.

As for my other pets, I have:

i love pets and rangers! most my chars are primary or secondary ranger: 6 primary rangers across 2 accounts, lol

my main ranger has Beelzebub her dire black widow

i also have on my rangers: manticore (white tiger), Karius (lynx), Kovo (phoenix), pink panther (flamingo). on my Derv is Avarice (means greed..he's a hyena), my necro has Arsnic (black moa) and my paragon has Jupiter (lion).

i may have missed some, but those are my favorite.

I got my old Dire wolf Blitzkrieg. (Wolves(or any pet for that matter) > Spiders)

I've always enjoyed beastmastery build myself.

well this was a long time ago before factions came out, i was up in the shiverpeaks trying to cap fercious strike ( or attack cant remember >=|) and the boss goes and charms an elder wolf, so i was thinking as long as i got charm animal on the bar might as wel get it, so after the fight ensued we kill him and i start using charm animal, id say i was lucky because a soon as i charmed him the henchies almost killed him =) and i got my cap -gives self +2 cookies- and ive been using him ever since, IGN= Gunthor The Impaler, Pets name= Elder Wolf ( lol i dont like naming him, elder wolf sounds more royal xD)
